A Vision for the Future

A Vision for the Future

Our Vision: Unity, Engagement, Legacy
Dear Esteemed Members,
As I embark on my journey as President of the Notre Dame Schools of General Santos City Alumni Association, I am filled with a profound sense of gratitude and excitement. The Notre Dame Schools have played a pivotal role in shaping our lives, instilling in us values, friendships, and a commitment to service that have endured throughout the years.
Today, I share my vision for our association, a vision built on the pillars of unity, service, progress, and legacy. I believe that by working together, we can achieve great things and create a lasting impact on our community.
- Investing in Future Leaders:
- We will strengthen existing scholarships, such as the Abante Lumad Scholarship at NDMU and the Pilar Palacios PE Scholarship at NDDU, and actively seek new funding sources to expand our support.
- We will serve as a bridge for alumni who wish to establish their own scholarship programs, fostering a culture of giving back and empowering future generations.
- Igniting Membership Engagement:
- We will create a vibrant and inclusive community where every member feels valued and empowered to contribute.
- We will organize engaging activities that foster commitment, cooperation, and a sense of belonging among all alumni.
- Tapping a Great Resource:
- We will actively engage our Honorary Members, recognizing their wisdom, dedication, and invaluable contributions to our association.
- We will ensure their voices are heard and their involvement is prioritized through key meetings, strategic initiatives, and recognition in our events and communications.
- Honoring Our Pillars:
- We will recognize and celebrate the contributions of our Past Presidents, inviting them to participate in online board meetings, general membership meetings, and ceremonial roles in our official events.
- Preserving Our Heritage:
- We will actively support the development of the General Paulino Santos Museum at NDDU, ensuring that the legacy of our schools and the contributions of General Paulino Santos are preserved and celebrated for generations to come.
- Amplifying Our Voice:
- We will elevate our online presence through a dynamic website, active social media channels, and a compelling storytelling strategy.
- This will allow us to connect with a wider audience, showcase the achievements of our alumni, and promote the impact of our association.
- Staying Connected:
- We will transform our quarterly newsletter, GENSAN DAMEANS, into a vibrant magazine that showcases alumni stories, association updates, and opportunities for engagement.
- We will explore new communication channels, such as podcasts and webinars, to keep our members informed and connected.
- Celebrating Our Bond:
- We will host an unforgettable 17th Biennial Reunion in Orlando, Florida, USA, in 2027, creating an experience that honors our past, celebrates our present, and inspires our future.
I invite each of you to join me in realizing this vision. Your support, commitment, and active participation are crucial to the success of our association. Together, we can build a stronger, more vibrant, and impactful Notre Dame Schools of General Santos City Alumni Association.
Thank you for your trust and dedication.
Sincerely,
Orman Ortega Manansala
President
